Spequlo vs Aiuta
The Aiuta alternative for brands that aren't ASOS
Aiuta is the enterprise option: an SDK and API used by retailers like ASOS and Zalando, sold on a custom quote, integrated by your engineers. Spequlo is the product-page option: install from the Shopify App Store, and the try-on, the size recommendation and the analytics dashboard are live the same day. If you have a platform team and a procurement process, Aiuta is a serious choice. If you have a Shopify store and a returns problem, Spequlo is built for you.

What does Aiuta do well?
Aiuta's try-on is deployed at a scale few vendors can claim: ASOS launched it across roughly ten thousand products in early 2026. It is available as an SDK and API, which is exactly what a retailer with its own app and engineering team wants. It also sells AI-generated product imagery, a separate job from shopper try-on.
What does an SDK cost that a Shopify app doesn't?
Time and people. An SDK integration means a scoping call, a contract, an engineer on your side, a staging environment and a release. Spequlo is a Shopify app: install, enable the block, done. The size charts are matched automatically and the dashboard is populated from the first try-on. There is no engineering ticket because there is nothing to engineer.
Does a smaller tool mean a smaller result?
The shopper sees the same thing either way: a button on the product page and a picture of themselves in the garment. Spequlo adds the size recommendation from the shopper's measurements, which Aiuta's site does not list, and reports conversion for try-on shoppers per product and per category, through to the order.
What do you give up by not going enterprise?
A custom integration into a native app, contractual SLAs, and the vendor sitting in your architecture reviews. If you need those, you need an enterprise vendor. Spequlo's mobile presence is the shopper's browser on your product page, which for most brands is where the purchase happens anyway.
Questions, answered
- Does Spequlo have an API?
- Spequlo has a documented API and a script-tag install for stores outside Shopify, but the product is designed so that most brands never need either. Book a demo if you have a custom storefront and we will walk through it.
- Is Spequlo's try-on quality comparable?
- Judge it on your own products: try the shopper experience at spequlo.com/try, then book a demo and we will run it on a staging copy of your store.
- Do shoppers need to install anything?
- No. The try-on runs on the product page. A shopper taps the button, uploads one photo or picks a preset model, and sees the result on the same page. Nothing to download, no account to create.
- What happens to shopper photos?
- Photos are stored privately, are never used to train AI models, and are deleted on request. Brands can see aggregate analytics, not a shopper's photo library.
- Can I try it before switching?
- Yes. Try the shopper experience at spequlo.com/try, then book a demo and we will set the widget up on a staging copy of your theme so you can compare results on your own products.
