Virtual try-on for boutiques that carry many brands

A boutique's sizing problem is multiplied: every label you stock sizes differently, and your customer has to know all of them. Spequlo matches each product to the correct chart for its brand, shows the garment on the shopper's own body, and recommends a size from their measurements, so “which size in this brand?” is answered on the product page.

Why is sizing harder for a boutique than a brand?

A single brand has one chart and a loyal customer who has learned it. A boutique has thirty charts and a customer who has learned none of them. A medium from one label and a medium from another can differ by two inches at the waist, and the shopper cannot see that until the parcel arrives. Exchanges follow.

How does Spequlo handle many size charts?

Spequlo identifies which chart applies to each product, from the product's brand, description and page, and uses that chart for the recommendation. Charts that only exist as images or PDFs can be uploaded once and are matched to the right products. The shopper never sees the complexity; they see one size, with the reasoning.

Does the try-on work across different labels and styles?

Yes. The try-on is generated from each product's own images and description, so it does not depend on the brand having done anything special. A curated mix of knitwear, dresses and denim from different labels all render on the shopper's body the same way.

What does a boutique see in the analytics?

Try-on and conversion per product and per category, so you can see which labels the try-on is helping most. Sizing insights show which sizes are being recommended per brand, which is useful when deciding what to reorder.

Spequlo for boutiques, in practice

Install is a Shopify theme block; the button appears under add-to-cart on every apparel product. Non-apparel products are left alone. Try the shopper experience on the demo store to see how it reads on a mixed catalogue.

Questions, answered

What if a brand I stock has no size chart?
Spequlo still generates the try-on. The size recommendation needs a chart, so for that brand it will ask you to upload one or skip the recommendation.
Can I switch it off for certain products?
Yes. The widget attaches to apparel products, and you can exclude any product or collection from the dashboard.
How long does setup take?
For a Shopify store, an afternoon: install the app, enable the theme block, and the try-on button appears on product pages. Size charts are matched to products automatically. Other platforms use a script tag.
What happens to shopper photos?
Photos are stored privately, are never used to train AI models, and are deleted on request. Brands see aggregate analytics, not a shopper's photos.
Can I see it working before I talk to anyone?
Yes. spequlo.com/try is a live demo store with the real widget on real product pages.
