Spequlo vs Camweara
The Camweara alternative built only for clothing
Camweara is a multi-category try-on app: rings, earrings, watches, glasses and clothes from one install, with live camera and photo modes. Spequlo does one thing, clothing, and goes deeper on it: a generative try-on that renders fabric and fit on the shopper's own body, a size recommendation from their measurements, and analytics through to the order. If you sell apparel and nothing else, that focus is the difference.

Why does a clothing-only tool matter?
A ring sits on a finger and a pair of glasses sits on a face; an overlay handles both well. A dress does not sit anywhere. It drapes, it has a length, it changes shape with the body underneath it. Spequlo's try-on is generated for that body, so a midi hits where a midi hits and a chunky knit looks chunky. Camweara's breadth is a strength for a store that sells across categories; for an apparel brand, it is generality you pay for and do not use.
Does Spequlo need 3D models or special product photos?
No. Spequlo works from the product images already on your page and the product's title and description. There is nothing to digitise and no file format to prepare. Camweara accepts images or 3D files and includes background removal; for clothing, both apps start from your existing photos.
What about sizing?
Seeing a garment on yourself answers “do I like it?”. It does not answer “which size?”, and size is where apparel returns come from. Spequlo asks the shopper for two guided photos, estimates their measurements, and recommends a size for that product from your chart, with the reasoning. Camweara's listing does not mention size recommendation.
What do the analytics show?
Camweara tracks purchases from try-on on its paid plans. Spequlo reports the whole funnel, views to try-ons to add-to-cart to orders, per product and per category, and adds sizing insights: which sizes shoppers are being recommended, and where your chart and your customers disagree.
Where does Camweara have the edge?
If your store sells jewelry, eyewear or watches alongside clothing, Camweara covers them all from one app and Spequlo does not. Camweara also offers a live camera mode, which suits accessories. Spequlo is photo-based by design, because a still photo is what a generative try-on needs to render fabric properly.
Questions, answered
- Does Spequlo do live camera try-on?
- No. Spequlo generates a still image of the shopper wearing the garment from one photo. For clothing, that produces a more faithful result than a live overlay, and it is what the size recommendation is built on.
- Can I keep Camweara for accessories and use Spequlo for clothing?
- Yes. Spequlo only attaches to apparel products, so the two can run on the same store without clashing on a product page.
- Do shoppers need to install anything?
- No. The try-on runs on the product page. A shopper taps the button, uploads one photo or picks a preset model, and sees the result on the same page. Nothing to download, no account to create.
- What happens to shopper photos?
- Photos are stored privately, are never used to train AI models, and are deleted on request. Brands can see aggregate analytics, not a shopper's photo library.
- Can I try it before switching?
- Yes. Try the shopper experience at spequlo.com/try, then book a demo and we will set the widget up on a staging copy of your theme so you can compare results on your own products.
