For small fashion brands
Virtual try-on without the enterprise price tag
Small fashion brands have mostly been shut out of virtual try-on: the good tools were enterprise SDKs with quotes and integration projects, and the affordable ones were gimmicks. Spequlo is a Shopify app that installs in an afternoon, needs no 3D models, no photo shoot and no engineer, and gives shoppers both the try-on and a size recommendation from their own measurements.

What does a small brand actually need from try-on?
Three things. It has to work on the product photos you already have, because there is no budget for a second shoot. It has to install without a developer, because there is no developer. And it has to move the numbers that matter to a small brand, which are conversion and returns, not novelty. Anything else is a demo you paid for.
How much setup is there, honestly?
Install the Spequlo app from the Shopify App Store, enable the theme block, and the try-on button appears under add-to-cart on your product pages. Spequlo reads your size charts from the product pages and Shopify data; if a chart only exists as an image, upload it once. Most brands are live the same afternoon, and the dashboard fills from the first try-on.
Does it do sizing, or just pictures?
Both. The try-on shows the shopper the garment on their own body. The size recommendation asks for two guided photos, estimates their measurements, and matches them to your chart for that product, with the reasoning shown. For a small brand, fewer size exchanges is the return on this that shows up first.
What will you see in the analytics?
Try-on rate, add-to-cart rate and conversion for shoppers who used the widget, per product and per category, through to the order. That is enough to know within a few weeks whether it is paying for itself, which is the question a small brand should ask of every app.
Spequlo for small brands, in practice
Spequlo's customers are independent brands, not marketplaces: knitwear, dresses, menswear, on Shopify. The widget is the same one on every store, and the demo store at spequlo.com/try is the fastest way to judge it on garments like yours.
Questions, answered
- Do I need a developer?
- No. Install from the Shopify App Store and enable the theme block. If you are not on Shopify, a single script tag does the same job.
- Do I need new product photos?
- No. Spequlo works from the product images and descriptions already on your pages.
- How long does setup take?
- For a Shopify store, an afternoon: install the app, enable the theme block, and the try-on button appears on product pages. Size charts are matched to products automatically. Other platforms use a script tag.
- What happens to shopper photos?
- Photos are stored privately, are never used to train AI models, and are deleted on request. Brands see aggregate analytics, not a shopper's photos.
- Can I see it working before I talk to anyone?
- Yes. spequlo.com/try is a live demo store with the real widget on real product pages.
